Own The Story is a national youth narrative power initiative created by People 4 People Productions to advance health equity, critical thinking, and civic engagement through film media literacy education. 

 

Inspired by the belief—shared by leaders like the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation—that the stories communities tell shape health, opportunity, and democracy.

 

This initiative equips youth with the tools to analyze media, challenge harmful narratives, and create authentic stories rooted in truth, culture, and community. 

 

Through filmmaking, emerging technology, AI, drone storytelling, and immersive media experiences, Own The Story empowers young people to become creators of narrative change—not just consumers of media—in the race to build a healthier, more informed, and more equitable society.
