At People for People Productions, we believe film is more than entertainment—it’s a tool for empowerment, critical thinking, and civic engagement. Our Film & Media Literacy Workshops are designed to help youth and community members build the skills they need to tell their own stories, analyze the media 

that surrounds them, and collaborate on creative projects that inspire action.

By booking our workshops, partners gain access to:

• Practical Film Skills – Hands-on training in smartphone filmmaking, video production, and editing.
• Film Media Literacy & Critical Thinking – Participants learn to question media messages, recognize bias, and strengthen their own voices.
• Collaboration & Teamwork – Workshops emphasize group projects that foster communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
• Civics & Social Impact – We connect media-making with civic education, encouraging participants to use film as a tool for change.
• Community Showcase – Programs conclude with a screening or presentation that highlights participant work and engages the wider community.

and build stronger, more connected neighborhoods.
